Hi, I'm new here. I just got a samsung galaxy s, can't connect to my router, because the index key for the WEP key is no.4. But I can't select the index key in the samsung galaxy s, even I configured it manually.

    Welcome to the Android Forums!

Depending on the wireless router you have, it may be in your best interest to change the encryption type on the router from WEP to WPA2. WEP encryption is extremely insecure and can be broken in a matter of minutes. I'd also recommend against WPA TKIP as it's also fairly easy to crack.

An issue has been seen with Android phones and some wireless routers so it's probably best to try another encryption type to see if that resolves the problem. Document what you do so you can update whatever other wireless devices you might have to the new encryption type and key.
