I have intermittent problems using the internet on my Samsung Galaxy S phone. I'm using 2.2 Froyo and my network is T-Mobile.

Every so often I encounter a problem where the phone refuses to connect to the internet. If I try to open a website, the browser just loads half the loading bar and then stops and goes no further. If I try to access my hotmal email (via www.hotmail.com) it loads a white screen and the address bar has a padlock symbol next to it.

This problem occurs maybe every second day or so and the only way I can fix it is by turning the phone off and on again. Solves the problem but it's quite annoying and not exactly ideal.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Are you experiencing this issue when connecting via HSDPA, Wi-Fi or both?
If it only happens via HSDPA I would suspect a network issue with T-Mobile.

    All the best.

Thanks for replying Ray. It happens either way I try to connect.

A couple of things for you to try then. First, try clearing the browsers cache.
The other thing to try is another browser. Dolphin HD browser seems to be quite popular as is Opera Mobile ( not mini ).

    Cheers.
