So I have the humongous 'Samsung Galaxy S2' and I have a question. I'm a heavy texter and it gets annoying that the screen cuts off so quick after not touching it. It also gets annoying that I have to press the power button on the side of the phone and then swipe across the screen to unlock it. My question is, instead of having to press the power button for it to light up and then swiping the screen is their anyway to just press the screen for it to light up and then swipe it across? It's a pain pressing the power button on the side of the phone 1,000 times a day and I feel like i'm where that power button out.

    Thanks

All you have to do is simply change the screen timeout to a more acceptable period of time to your liking.

Exactly. Go to Settings --> Display --> Screen Timeout, and choose 1 min, or 2 mins, or 10 mins. Just be aware that the longer the display is active, the more battery you'll use.

Have you tried using the "No Lock" app? I think it will resolve your issue.
