Samsung galaxy s3 tablet sim problem.

Hello guys so I took out my sim card from my tablet that is connected to Verizon and it has only 4g data and i put it into my samsung s3 and it doesnt work. i know that by law it should work as long as the phone supports 4g lte and the s3 does so i was wondering if anyone else had this problem that fixed it or knows how to get around this issue. Thank you.
