Guys need some help!!! I just received my Samsung Galaxy S5 from my local carrier and i have been using it for about a week now. One day i just found something strange showing on my screen. A horizontal greyish hue/cloud on the middle of my screen. Is this normal or it is a manufacturer's defect? Need help guys...Tnx

Yeah, I would definitely take that back and swap it out.

Almost looks like a back pocket incident.

If it came like that I'd definitely take it back, but I'd expect some skepticism.

It kind of looks like an uneven backlighting problem one might see with an LCD screen, but the S5 is AMOLED, no backlight. And I've actually had a "pocket incident" with a Samsung Galaxy S AMOLED phone, it didn't look like the OP's S5. I'd say there would be no problem with returning it as defective. The AMOLED screen itself is made of glass AFAIK, as are LCDs, and bending them will nearly always result in breakage.

There are a number of S4 owners that reported SAMOLED screen breaking without physical damage or cracking to the gorilla glass. Some of the pictures posted don't look all that different from OPs

That's a defective oleophobic coating. Certainly not normal
