So, I took my phone out for a swim for a cool video, naturally, the sound for the next hour and a half was distorted thanks to the speaker being under water, but thats ok now. My problem is that the proximity sensor, the one that turns off the display when you are on a call so that you dont press anything by accident, is malfunctioning. Even when I am not on a call, when I put my finger or any object near the proximity sensor, the display turns off. Is this a problem that can be resolved in the settings? Will I need to get it fixed? Is it alarming at all?
Any answers are greatly appreciated, thanks.

EDIT: Turns out it wasn't a hardware problem at all, skype had just glitched and the phone thought I was still in the call.
