Yesterday when I was trying to install this ROM, I apparently Hard Bricked my device. I tried turning on the phone, but it did not work. I tried the power + vol +/- combo, but still would not work. I also tried to charge, but it did not show anything on my screen. I even tried to connect it to my PC, but it would not even recognize the device! I have also tried to plug the phone in without the battery/sim/sdcard, and putting back the battery while holding the vol +/- buttons at the same time, but that still did not work.

I also contacted Samsung to see if I can get the device repaired, and they did give me a UPS delivery along with instructions to send my phone into them. But I am worried that if they will charge me since my device is rooted, does anyone also know if they will check to see if your device is rooted or not? I have also seen on other websites of using people using a JIG, but I highly doubt that this would work on my phone. Does anyone know anything else I can do? Please help!

Can you boot into download mode by pressing volume down with power?

Moving this to the all things root section, hopefully someone can help you figure this out.

Nope, none of the button combos would not work.

Did you brick it because you loaded a non T989 rom? Just curious.

I read in 2 other xda threads that tmobile replaced their phones when they went into the store after both were bricked.

If you can't boot into anything then I would try the warranty route. The jig is a shot in the dark.

I sent my phone last week and Samsung just sent me an email today that my phone was repaired and is on the way.

The email sent to me stated to me that the problem was a "NO POWER UP" and that they repaired it by replacing the PBA. Fewf, at least I got my phone fixed now! :)
