Samsung galaxy W won't send email

I have just updated to my galaxy w to 2.3.6 to solve an issue with sending texts which has worked but can no longer send or reply to emails. All outgoing server settings seem ok. I use wlm as I need it for work. Have tried gmail,and works ok. Would appreciate any help in not to technical terms please. I have rebooted phone and deleted and reinstalled several times but no luck
