Samsung Galxy 8 messaging app problem

Hi All , I have the galaxy 8. I seem to have problems with the stock messaging app. Sometimes my messages get stuck in the process of sending. It will cycle and cycle , sometimes fail. Then it will be fine for awhile. I try rebooting, clearing cache, switching off of wireless and go straight 4g LTE, and still will act up.

Is anyone else out there having this problem? T-mobile trying to say I might need to flash the software again??
Everything else works great except for this.

I would appreciate any insight to this.
Thank you!

I'd first try a different text app. Try Google Messages. That's pretty plain vanilla. If it's sporadic, it's most likely your phone connection. Text messages are handled over the 4G connection.

As far a T-Mobile (or any carrier) when they don't know what they're talking about the first thing they always suggest is resetting or reflashing your phone. It's like suggesting an engine rebuild for a flat tire. ;)

I appreciate your reply! First , I agree with you on the carriers not knowing jack! I said, what?? That's your answer? And your in tech support? Lol. What I did try was Textra right after I posted this. I was also going to try Google. My first few messages went through no problem and lightning fast. I will see how this does and let you know. Do you think that having the phone set on wireless calling affect the 4G connection?
Thanks again.

I wouldn't think so. SMS messages use such little bandwidth that it should hardy be a blip in your use. Signal strength would be a much greater factor.

Textra would also be an option, but I never seemed to warm up to it. At my age, I need less options, not more. ;)

Let us know how you make out.
