Help Samsung J7 Pro. No Sound Text Message Bug

Just purchased a J7 pro from HSN. I have no sound notification when getting a text message. As far as I know, message app is set to notify of text message. Been messing around with this issue for several hours, still no sound when getting a text. Any help is appreciated.

Any J7 pro user face this problem before?

Apps>Settings>Sounds and vibration> notification sounds...in message notifications 'good news' is highlighted..
Apps>Settings>Notifications..the messages app is the only app checked on..
Apps>Settings>Applications>Messages app.. Notifications allowed is highlighted and 'show on lock screen' is on and 'show content on lock screen' is on..

There is everything that tells me the text notification should be working.t. I did a factory reset 15 minutes after this post. Still no sound for text message.

I did a factory reset. This solved the problem
