To answer the question, we have all heard rumors of the Moment getting updates soon, but as of yet nothing has been confirmed.

    And welcome to the forums!

Everything I have heard is, yes. Some sources say we'll get 1.6, while others say 2.0 is very likely, but probably not until Q1/Q2 2010, and I've even heard there will be a firmware update in the near future to fix some of the known issues with GPS, bluetooth, and battery, but not update the OS.

The question isn't so much "if", but "when". And I don't think anybody knows that.

The reason for my offtopic response was due to the fact that it was this person's first post and there is already numerous threads about this.....shows that she hasn't really "looked around" before posting.

Looks like Sprint's tweeted that The moment and hero will be receiving 2.0 sometime in the first half of next year...

Twitter / sprint: Happy to announce Android ...

It'd be interesting to tweet that to Samsung and see what they have to say about it (I don't have or feel the need for a twitter account, so if someone else wants to do it??).

Reminds me of when Charter says ''we'll have a service rep out to your house next week somewhere between 9am and 5pm."
    ..perfect.

that means his computer has standards. Their twitter is just a waste. A majority of it is, we really have no clue, but we'll check on it. I truly hope HTC creates a slider phone for gen 2. They'd easily put the nail in whatever coffin Samsung brings to the table for round 2. And I have more faith in HTC for support than I do Samsung. Not that I dislike the Moment. It just reinforces that it's just a phone.

The Samsung Moment was one of the first Android Phones with a slideout keyboard.
