Samsung new battery not charging

Hi
I got a new battery for my Samsung Tab 2 7.0 GT-P3110 and installed it ok, at first it started to charge a little bit from 11 - 17% but now it has gone down to 0% and won't charge.
Is there anything I can do or is the battery faulty?

I have read of many people having similar issues with similar samsung devices
