I have a Samsung transform ultra android phone. Every single time I try to use the camera it crashes. Says "Camera Error, Cannot connect to camera"

Sometimes it lets me take ONE pic then crashes... The only way to get it to work ONE more time is to power my phone off and back on. Then it crashes again. I just don't get it.

I did a factory restore on my phone, everything is set to default settings, I have not changed anything...

Are you rooted? Downloaded any flashlight apps recently?

What do you mean by "rooted"? Yes I downloaded a flashlight app yesterday but this camera issue has been happening for a wile now.... I bought the phone back in April and it started happening around June :(

Nvm about root lol. Temporarily uninstall the flashlight app and try camera again.

I un-installed the flashlight app. Tried to take some pics, still getting a error message. But now it's a new message. I made sure to turn the phone off and back on again. Can't take photos :( So strange... hmmmm

Now I'm getting the error message

"Sorry, the application camera (process com.andtroid.camera) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

try going to system settings, applications, then manage apps find camera and then clear data.

Ok, I did that. Cleared it. Tried it again and now I am getting a error message, says

"The application camera process com android camera has stopped unexpectedly please try again"

I hope there's something I can do to get the app to work, this is odd. When it does snap a photo there are green lines running through the photo...

I've never dropped my phone, I've taken really good care of it... It hasn't gotten wet.

that is odd maybe as an alternative 3rd party camera app if all else fails

duh never finished my reply, im gonna assume you have the file manager that came with your, so your gonna need to download another one from the store so you can install the app i uploaded to you, i use es files, anyways once you get es files or whatever file manager you choose open it up find the app i uploaded on your sdcard hit the app and it will ask you to install choose yes and thats it good luck like chev said might not work.

When you clear all data, is that going to delete my pics? My phone has the same problem and I used to be able to turn the phone off then on and the camera would work again but now its shot.
