i just never understood product x vs product y battles. be it iPhone vs. Android, or PS3 vs. Xbox. fanboys either side. it does not make either side any stronger, just weak. why care so much? it seems most here cry mommy when someone chooses Apple over Android, or prefers Apple. why care? isn't it the right of the consumer to buy what he or she likes? why do we feel the need to make Android the only phone out there? isn't that the same crime you accuse Apple of? or Microsoft? Sony? come on people! let it go. if someone likes Apple, let them do so. why is it so important that Android wins? all i see is yet another repeat of the Netscape Vs. IE wars. and despite how Netscape was in every way, shape, or form, superior, it lost!
in a nutshell: being an Android fanboy is no better than being an Apple fanboy. i am not married to one brand. brand loyalty in my mind became obsolete once products were made in the same overseas factory run by 12 year-old child labor. in the 1980s buying a Fisher VCR vs. a RCA meant something. today, it does not matter if it's Android, Apple. VW, or Bose. having one does not make you superior to anyone using another. i own Apple, Microsoft, Android products. use all of them. either one is a backup to another if it dies or crashes or it has a purpose that the others cannot satisfy (my PS3 is a backup for Netflix when my Xbox doesn't work). heck i drive a Pontiac. i have owned cars from all the big 3 and some imports. none are inherently better or worse than another, despite all the Ford vs. Chevy wars still going on to this day!
