Hi all So I'm interested in writing applications for Android phones. So I installed Eclipse, and everything went fine and dandy, and set up the Android plug-in for Eclipse, and everything went fine and dandy. So then I went on to go through one or two of the Eclipse tutorials, and editing code went fine and dandy. So then I tried to actually run the code in the Android emulator. This is what bought me to these wonderful forums on a quest for answers from those that are wiser than I in mattes such as these. Whenever I try to run anything, this is what it gives me. In case you can't see the picture for some reason or other (maybe your bios is possessed by evil little gnomes?) the only thing that the screen shows is the word A N D R O I D _ (it's in white console-font text) and none of the buttons do anything. I am running Windows Vista 64-bit, and I am using Eclipse 5.2. The last two lines that it gives me (including the termination error) are: [2010-07-05 21:41:28 - HelloLinearLayout] Waiting for HOME ('android.process.acore') to be launched... [2010-07-05 21:42:18 - HelloLinearLayout] emulator-5554 disconnected! Cancelling 'com.example.LinearLayout.HelloLinearLayout activity launch'! Anybody got any ideas of what might be going on? Know where I screwed up? Thanks for taking the time to help out a newb.
