Support sbcglobal.net outgoing mail - HELP!

    I have a new Optimus V and can receive email from my AY&T account but cannot send. Attempts fail with the error message "553 From address not verifed...". Forums for other phones have fixes for the problem, but they have not worked for me. Here are my settings for K-9 which I use for email:

    INCOMING MAIL:
    User name: myname@sbcglobal.net
    Password: my_sbcglobal.net_password
    POP3 server: pop.att.yahoo.com
    Security type: SSL
    Authentication type: PLAIN
    Port: 995

    OUTGOING MAIL:
    SMTP Server: smtp.att.yahoo.com
    Security type: SSL
    Port: 465
    (X) Require Sign-in
    Authentication type: AUTOMATIC
    User name: myusername@sbcglobal.net
    Password: my_sbcglobal.net_password
