Scanlife Barcode Update

I was offered an update via Android Market for the Scanlife Barcode reader on my Vodafone Wildfire S yesterday but I do not have that application installed. How come? Anyone else get this?

I am just curious as to why Android Market would offer me an update for an application I have never installed or ever heard of.

It does seem strange.

Does it appear in the list of apps installed in Settings -> Applications -> All?

I'm Orange branded and I've a few apps listed there that I can't access.

There is an explanation for the trouble you're going through. Check out our blog post "Vodafone Pre-Load Issue of Scanlife/Bidi App" from October 9th. In a nutshell, it seems that our app was wrongly pre-loaded on some devices, which created all these problems. We're working hard to fix this problem. Our sincere apologies for the headache that this might have caused.
