Hey guys. I've done some searching with no luck, hopefully this won't be a completely new problem that needs troubleshooting.

So, sometimes my phone screen freezes up and doesn't respond to touch. This only happens to part of the screen. The notification bar slides up and down. and the last 3/4" of the screen responds (so I can swipe through my menu bars and access apps at the bottom of the screen), but the rest remains inactive. Sometimes it starts responding, other times I have to restart (turn off/on) my phone. Is the processor just overburdened? A certain app acting squiffy and throwing everything off?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Sounds as if your Launcher is not able to obtain resources for the 'shortcuts' on your 5 homescreens.

Suggestion: when this happens again, hit Menu>Task Manger>Ram Manager>Kill Ram 1 and 2.

    Hit>Back>

On Home screen try to launch app of choice..

    Test other..

Get Titanium Backup Root (if your rooted). Learn it

Get a Cache Cleaner. Run it.

If you have several widgets on your screen, lessen the load.

This sound like a memory (or lack) of avail. ROM memory situation.

Good Luck hunting down the foul app.

Thanks for the help! I'll follow your suggestions and hopefully narrow the culprit app down soon.
