Help Screen keeps randomly turning on

I though that the update today would fix it but no luck. It's stock, not custom and I have that annoying screen motion thing turned off. Any ideas?

Try blowing into the earpiece. Perhaps a piece of dust is stuck above the proximity sensor (more common issue than you might think).

Wow, never thought that would cause a problem. Good to know. (Sometimes its the simplest thing that solves a big problem.)

Or it could be that there is some app in the background that is turning it on. I've heard of it before. I had it happen with my old Mez.

Makes sense. Blew into the earpiece and so far it's all good. I'll see how it goes throughout the day.

Didn't work. It just turned on. No app is turning it on either.

It sucks, but you could always try a Factory Reset to ensure it's not something wonky on an install or if it's a hardware related problem.

That would be high on my suspect list as well. That sort of behaviour can really drain a battery.
