I'm having problems with my Droid X2. I've had it for maybe 6 months, no real problems with it until a couple weeks ago. All of a sudden, the screen will just loop, like it's scrolling but the image is the same, it doesn't actually scroll anything. I've got a video posted up on YouTube but apparently I can't post links because every new member on here is clearly a bot. I don't think it's the digitizer because the functionality is the same, but you just have to guess exactly where on the screen the image actually is because everything is flying by so fast. I can still type on it and do very basic and easy functions without too much trouble because I've got muscle memory, but it's really difficult so I switched to an older phone for now. Anyway, please PM me and I'll send you the link to the youtube vid and you can see what my problem is, or if someone knows already without looking that'd be great. I just took the phone apart and when I put it back together to take a video it worked fine, but then when I pulled it apart to put all the screws back in and seal it up proper, it started messing up again. I'd really like to just replace a couple parts, but I don't want to spend money on parts that I don't need. Thanks
Sure did. Maybe 3 months ago it fell into the toilet. After that happened, I threw it in a vacuum bag with a bag of desiccant and left it there for a week. After that it worked fine for a while and then this happened. I'm hoping I can just swap out the LCD or whatever and get it running again, and that the video card (or whatever these things use) isn't corroded. Any help is appreciated
Hmmm... If that doesn't work then I'm afraid you might just have to either send it in for repairs or get a new one. When you do, be sure to get a case for it in case you drop it and don't leave it in a bag of desiccant.
What? I wanna know what's wrong with it before I try to fix it. I don't wanna throw money at it only to find out it's not going to work.
If you have a warranty on it then you shouldn't have to pay. EDIT: I'm sorry but I don't know a whole lot about the inner workings of a phone. Look around a bit and see if you can make the repairs yourself, but if not then send it in or get a replacement.
Ah. Yeah I've got a replacement, right now I'm just trying to find which parts I need to replace. Thanks for your help anyway.
