I got my Nexus a couple of days ago. I put a screen guard on it. I find that the screen is not as crisp and sharp as I had hoped. I notice this mostly when using Gmail or anything else in black and white. It looks almost grainy. I find it hard to believe this is a result of the screen guard. My old HTC Magic was sharp and crisp compared this the Nexus.

Has anyone else found problem? I just want to ask before I take the screen guard off. I read several posts in which people speak of dust under the glass. Perhaps what they are seeing is what I am seeing. Thanks...

The screen of the nexus is the crispest/sharpest I have ever seen.
ESPECIALLY with black and white it is sure to provide very high contrast and in other situation very true colors.
Provided you have the same AMOLED screen as me. I heard samsung is being a selfish d*ck and is turning off the supply stream to all manufacturers for those screens.
But I don't think you'll get any N1s with LCD screens yet because of this.
HTC should have a stockpile and N1s arent that high in demand so they prob just had a bunch still lying around.

You have a crappy screen protector, then. Rip it off.

I went with clarivue screen protectors and have had no issues with screen clarity. I bought the Ultra-Clear version and you get two for eleven bucks. They use static cling rather than water to adhere to the screen.

Thank god I can remain anonymous. I had a friend look at my phone and he told me that I neglected to remove one of the layers of plastic that came with the screen protector.

The screen is great now. Really good.

Very sorry to waste your time. I should be shot for being so stupid.
