My phone fell in the toilet the other day...I quickly took it off, took out the battery, and dried it off. It sat in rice for about 24 hours. I tried to turn it on after that, and everything seemed to be working, but the screen was veryyyy dim. When I squint and look closely, I can see everything, but it's far too dark to be a useful phone. I don't have insurance but I love this phone, so I'm desperate to find any way to fix it!

It likely needs to be replaced.

    Have you checked brightness settings?

i did try changing the brightness, but it didn't do a thing.
what would i have to replace exactly? the phone, or just the backlight or something else? and does anyone know where i could get whatever it is i need?

I would suggest you replace the entire phone,
