Does anyone out there have a suggestion for a screen protector for the Rezound? I don't want to waste time and money on the bad ones. I got really lucky on the screen protector for my Incredible.

The name brands are similar, though some have their own preferences. I've always used Best Skins Ever. Probably a little more visible than some, but I love the feel and cost.

Free shipping when you order 3 sets. From about 7 bucks for a screen protector or $9 for a full cover.

Do you use the full phone skin or just the screen part?

I just use the screen protector part, then I have the seidio case, so it's got all around coverage.

The cool part is that if you get 3 you can screw up the first one practicing and still have 2 more for less than paying to have one installed

Do you have to put liquid or solution on the screen to apply the protector?

I used a Zagg on my Incredible for 20 months. It's a better screen protector, but it does have its down side. The rubbery texture takes away from the quality of the display and can sometimes be sticky with sliding the finger.

So I wanted to try something different, got the Seidio. I dislike it. For one, it's a dry application and so it makes repositioning it difficult. Also, it doesn't cover the ENTIRE glass front side, as in edge to edge like the Zagg. I didn't know this when I went to apply mine and started all the way to one side and wound up with a huge gap on the other side. When I took it off to reposition it, is when I got specs of dust underneath it.

The difference between the two is readily apparent here. The Zagg just conforms around the particle and you never know it's there. The Seidio leaves a huge bubble around that one spec.

v2can5-How's about changing the title of this thread to allude to the screen protector topic instead of putting your user name in it?

I have the skinomi and it's smooth. They will also replace the skin if it's damaged. I've used them on several devices and they've been good. Screen still looks nice and bright.

I broke down and bought the Verizon ones after watching the guy expertly apply one to my friends phone. No orange peel and it's not really viable, the feel is slippery after some use. My only complaint is there is about 1/16" around the glass edge that's not covered, it's uniform at least since the guy did a great job installing it, there are also cut outs around the front camera and sensors which I think looks goofy. Other than that it seems decent.

This is my first post. How do I change the title?

^ oh. You have free install too? :)
(Yeah they do that all day at the store.)

Crazy, he told me apple charges and they weren't supposed to install them on apple products. Had I been told I had to install it, I wouldn't have paid $12.99 lol, I've wasted all three cheapies trying to install them myself on my last phone, so money well spent imo.

Yes, you use a soap water solution on the skin. I think it's similar to the ghost armor types. I will admit there's a texture to the skin, not smooth like the Verizon ones that just lay on top.

google "best skins ever" and you'll find some comparisons. I can't say that it's better than the others, but it is cheaper.

Hal1,
Thanks for the video. It was helpful.

Another note, if you're just doing the screen, which is what I have, the installation really is pretty simple. --- spray on solution, place on device, slide it around until it is centered, squeegee out water. (wiping the edges dry as it comes out from under the skin)

Ugh, I just tried the Skinomi last night and I don't like it. I can press a fingernail into it, easily, and create a small dent. It is a lot more clear than the ones at the Verizon store. Blacks are nice and deep. But I can't believe how soft it is.
I wish SGP would come out with the Steinheil Ultra Crystal already!

I've had some luck with screen protectors from some random guy in a kiosk at the mall. I might toss the Skinomi and try one of those.

Cancelled the Boxwave order. Their Amazon storefront said it was in stock, a week later the product had not been shipped. Have had bad experiences with these people and their 'customer satisfaction guarantee.' Right....as long was you don't apply the shield. Tried an antiglare with my iPad and when I complained about the quality of the anti-glare shield (they didn't want to take it back despite their 'guarantee') they sent me a uncut clear shield (which I thought was for the ipad). Only tried them again because you don't have alot of choices with the Rezound these days and it was dry application. I've got a Halo shield coming and if that doesn't work I'll get a ghost shield. I'm leary of the wet application because, if you notice, there is a small gap around the glass when moisture can seep downward.

I totally had the same issue with the Seidio screen protector. I bought 2 f'ed up the first one and then I got the 2nd one on but it still has a bubble in the corner, it will probably fall off in a few months from dust accumulation.

I also had the VZW screen protectors. As already stated those degrade the quality of the screen but atleast they come with a 3 step application process that was much easier than the Seidio protectors.

I wouldn't recommend either of these protectors... sigh.

I used to put InvisibleShield on all of my electronics...from my Pre, EVO 4G and now Rezound...I go naked. My EVO was really good being scratch resistant. My Rezound has several micro scratches in the screen already.

I've very good about only putting the phone in a pocket without keys or coins too. :(

I've always liked the anti-glare screen savers, but as mentioned, there isn't much to choose from for the Rezound yet, so I got one from Verizon. There is still a slight amount of air at the top where those cut outs are. but it works fine.

Whatever I get, I take it to Verizon, or Best Buy and have them put it on. I've never been able to do one without getting dust, or a hair under it and I spend 2-3 times as much money by the time I've wasted all of them than if I just paid someone else to do it.
