Screen Protector

I'm getting my HTC Hero tomorrow and very excited. I heard that the screens on the Hero are a little "stronger" than on normal phones, but wondered if you Hero Fans out there suggest getting a screen protector. I guess being over cautious is better than a scratched screen. Thanks for any info you can send my way! Can't wait for my phone!

I dont have the Hero, I have the Eris, but I strongly recommend getting a screen protector - has saved me many times. I throw my phone in my purse all the time with my keys, if I didn't have the screen guard I think my display would be very damaged.

Thank you Bgmerf and justjimjpc! This forum site is awesome. Of course there is a ton of information on here, so I'm sifting through it all to get as much info as I can. I really can't wait to get my Hero today! Probably won't sleep the first couple of nights staying up late playing around on it. Thanks for the welcome!
