Just wondering during if anyone can recommend a good screen protector for the S3?
I have an ACase fitted and the phone is generally in my pocket the majority of the time, so wondering if I need one or not?
I have a cheap screen protector fitted at the min, but read somewhere that minor scratches can be buffed out, is this true? If so then I probably don't need one.

I had a ZAGG protector on my phone for a while. I ended up taking it off after the front of the phone was damaged and honestly I like it better without. I haven't had any issues with scratches on the screen itself. Even when I've accidentally used my nails on the touch screen. My husband doesn't use one either any more.

I run bestskinever.com on my phone, I have their case optimized skin which keeps the case from peeling up the skin.

Scratches on the glass can not be buffed out. And scratches are what weaken the glass which make it more susceptible to cracking when dropped.

The glass used is a strengthen scratch resistant glass, but the important word is RESISTANT, its not scratch proof.

I use a ZAGG screen protector on mine, I hardly know it's there to look at. However the screen doesn't feel as smooth.

I've owned every Galaxy model phone -- never used a screen protector and never had a single scratch on any of them. Plenty of fingerprints that are easily wiped off using a soft cloth, shirt sleeve etc etc.

Just started using the Spigen Ultra Nano Clear. You can barely see it. Easy to apply (dry install). Very thin. Comes with three. Nice squeegee and cleaning cloth included.

I hate screen protectors, but this is one that I can tolerate.

All it takes is one piece of the right material making contact with your phone to ruin your day from my experience.

I left my iphone 4 for one week without a screen protector and managed to not only scratch it but put a gouge into the glass.

I use and recommend zagg to friends and family.

It's got a lifetime warranty free replacement warranty, and does the job.

The screen will always feel better without a screen protector, but fine pieces of sand will destroy any gorilla glass.

Remember, no screen is scratch proof.

Hey there. I just created an account since I got my SGS3 recently. This will be my cherry popping post.

I picked up a case off Amazon called Rearth Ringke. It's like a slim snap-on case with a matte finish. I bought both the white and black cases to try out. I ended up using the black case, the one with matte finish, because the white one felt a bit too slippery. I really like the way the case feels and looks. It's ultra slim, but provides a really sleek look and it fits like perfectly. I've actually dropped my phone, in this short amount of time, more times than I'd like to admit. The case has a few blemishes, but my phone is completely intact - although that just might be the phone being a brick as well.

I also tried a few different screen protectors out. My first screen protector was a random brand I picked up off Amazon as well. It was the three-pack price effective protectors. I didn't really like the feel very much, but it did its job. I ended doing a bit more research and a friend recommended checking out the brand Armorsuit. The protector isn't cheap (price-wise), but it's definitely a fair price - just a little bit cheaper than Zagg (my original option). It's actually a wet application, so I was a bit confused at first. I ended up watching some of their instructional videos and the installation was cake. It's been a few weeks and this protector still looks pretty good. Any time I "scratch" it, the marks go away after awhile. I'm actually pretty happy with this.

Let me know which cases and protectors you guys use. I'm down to try a few different brands if they sound worth it.

Some guy at Radio Shack talked me into the Zagg. I'm not sorry...works well. He also mounted it for me! That's the secret: having it mounted perfectly makes all the difference.
