Screen record TV from phone using smart view

I have a z fold 4. If I am using smart view to cast my TV to my phone, how can i screen record it? When I try to do it the video is just a black screen.

Is there an app that will allow this to work??

i am not sure that you can. so let get this straight. you are casting from your tv to your phone? and you want to record your screen that is on your phone, correct?

The answer to this question as it is asked is to use a screen recorder app on the phone.
(The question seems to me to be asked 'backwards', but it is what it is.)

Start the screen reording app, then cast as normal.

Note: Generally these screen recorder apps use the internal speaker as a sound source, and the internal mic as the pick-up.
This will cause some audio fidelity loss, and the volume setting will control the volume of the recording.
