Help screen timeout help?

i have my screentimeout time to 30seconds under the display settings and under the batterysaver settings. but my screen wont ever timeout. it just sits there full brightness and never locks. any help? i dont want to have to push the top button every single time i stop using my phone for a few minutes.

if you are using a home launcher like adw or launcher pro, the settings in those ma be overriding the system. check the settings in your launcher.
