Screen times out way too fast?

My mom just got a new LG K10 about a week ago. Today she told me that the screen times out after 6 seconds (dims after 5, then almost immediately turns off). So I've looked at the settings. I've tried every timeout setting and nothing changes it- even when it's set to never time out, it still turns off after 6 seconds. Any idea why it's doing this?

I had a phone doing this with screen going off very quickly, an Oppo, it was a bug in the firmware, which was subsequently fixed with an update.

Check if there's any OTA updates available. Although I don't know much about LG phones.

I have a lg g5 and I have the same problem. It's stupid

LG still haven't fixed this apparent bug? Which was first reported back in May

Have you tried Keep Screen On app? It works! It has a setting where you make it stay on till you turn it off

Did a hard reset twice and then it worked
