I know both the behold2 and the N1 have amoled screens. I was wondering if anyone has compared them side-by-side. I didn't particularly care for the behold's screen when I looked at one in-store. Can't really articulate why. So if someone could compare the two and let me know if they look similar to each other in comparison to a MyTouch, I'd appreciate it.

What's there to compare? Behold 2's screen is smaller and sports a much lower resolution.

The way graphics and text are rendered. When I looked at the behold it just looked, for lack of any helpful description, wrong.

I've never encountered the Behold 2 in the flesh, I'm afraid. But here's a screenshot of my N1, albeit scaled down somewhat:

Beautiful Widgets. :) That's the default skin, which is a bit boring; I've since downloaded and applied other skins.

I think what he's looking for is a description of the OLED screen. The only major differences I've noticed between AMOLED and LCD's is that the colors are sharper and have a higher contrast because it only pix-elates the images & text and not the entire screen.

Plus you don't get that color change when looking at it from a different angle.

I can't really describe why, but when I looked at the behold with my wife, we thought it was a fake display at first, like it had no depth to it. I took a screenshot of my MT3G to compare with grainysand's and from that I don't think the N1 has the same effect that the behold had.

I think this is because you're basically looking at a black screen as there is no light under the screen. Notice how on most LCD's, you'll see a lamp underneath the screen if you look at it from an angle. Well, AMOLED's don't have that.

I don't know if you can really tell anything by a screenshot but here's one of mine

That looks fantastic. What homescreen replacement are you using?

Those do look pretty good. Maybe the one I looked at had just been messed with too much or something, I didn't really try adjusting any settings. Thanks for indulging me.
