Pressing the Home Key and Power button at the same time snaps a screenshot.

I think home and back refers to Samsung Galaxy series with 2.1 or higher.

some new HTC phones have power+home for screenshot.

I used to use drocap. It haad shake or timer from a touchscreen button press.

If you're wanting a screenshot application that uses a hard wired button combination press, I cant help there.

Screenshot ER works with both shaking and clicking on the icon in the notification bar.

Thanks, but unfortunately I don't have a dedicated camera button :(.
Is there no app that uses a combination of buttons, the way Fordx4 mentioned?

I use Screenshot it and if I hold down the search button for several seconds, it will take a screenshot.

Hmm mine doesn't, but you've given me an idea.

Since AndroSS uses the dedicated Camera button, is there a way to remap
my search button to become the Shutter button?

Hold it down for at least 5 seconds. I looked to see if there was a way to configure it but it appears that the search button is set up by default.

I could have sworn that Tasker had a screen shot activity, cannot find it now. Was I dreaming, has it been removed, or am I just missing it?

Why would Google not have a bloatware screenshot app? Or a hardware combo of buttons like iOS?
