I accidentally switched my homescreen from 5 pages to 7. I would prefer to have it only 5 because I don't need 7. How do I go about and change it back to 5? Do I have to reset the phone or is there another way.
I gave me a warning message, which I didn't read! I wish I would have now.

Also does have 7 pages instead of 5 hinder the perfromance at all? Speed, mem, battery, etc... I am not sure I would want to reset the phone so hopefully there is a workaround. If not, I guess I could just leave the 2 extra pages blank provided its' not going to affect speed, mem, battery, etc...

Just curious too, how many pages do you keep on your homescreen? 5 or 7?

    Thanks

I did some searching on google and found you can go to:
    Go to settings
    Applications
    Manage Applications
    HTC sense
    Clear Data

my question is when you hit clear data, what all does it clear? I don't want to earse something of importance.

    Thanks for your help.

it should be just the settings data for the app itself, but when I got ready to test it out for ya on mine (I have been flash happy with the ROM's lately so I don't have much on mine) it gave me a pop-up saying it could only be reverted to 5 screens with a factory data reset. if thats the case it will just put your phone back to the way it was the first time you powered it up.

Yeah, I had to reset my phone because I had it on 7 screens, but then wanted it back down to 5. I used MyBackup from the market place to back up my info then reset the phone.

7 here and loving it. No difference in performance or battery drain

I'm using 7, but the two outermost screens are just for things that barely rate getting promoted from the app launcher anyway. It helped that I stumbled across the fact that the "pinch" gesture on any screen brings up the heads up mini-view of all of them though... :p

I prefer 7, and I haven't noticed any difference in battery or performance.
