sd card and tablet

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and I put my phone sd card to transfer all my pictures to the internal memory and later to transfer them back to a new more powerful car, and all my intents falls in to frustration when I couldn't do anything I want.
Can you please help me with this issue ??
