I recently got a new Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 tablet, inserted a 32Gb SD card from my old tablet and everything work good for a couple of weeks.
The SD card is a Lexar High-Speed 32GB Micro SD HC.

A few days ago, I started getting a message saying the SD card was bad and to format it.
I was able to read the SD card on my laptop (Windows 7) with no issues. I did a full reformat of the SD card (not the quick format) and re-inserted it into the tablet.

It does not look like it even sees the SD card now. When I go into Settings / General / Storage the option to mount the SD card is grayed out and not active.

Also, (this is strange) when the SD card is inserted the WiFi goes off and in Settings / Connections / Wi-Fi is just says

That is interesting because I just got a micro SD card yesterday for my Galaxy 10.1 too. The card worked fine but like you failed later and was promted to reformat. I did since I didn't have any data on the card yet and I think it's been working fine ever since. I will report if it happens again.

Boot into recovery and let the phone format it. If recovery doesn't see it, either the card is really bad or the card reader in the phone is. (Even badly formatted cards should be seen, they just won't be readable.)

    Thanks for the reply's.
How do you “Boot into Recovery”?
I have another micro SD card (16Gb) and installed it with the same results.
It does not look like it is even seeing there is an SD card installed.
    Thanks.
