Help Sd card needs reformatting and where to get service

Hello all, im new to the forums and ive just recently bought an unlocked htc desire hd unlocked from online. The phone says the SD card is damaged and ask if I want to reformat it. Is it best to reformat this as its a new phone and i have no saved data on it. Also ive had a hell of a time finding a company to get phone service through any suggestions? I have bad credit so all the main phone companies like At&t, sprint or verizon are out of the question. Any thoughts are appreciated on this.

yeah do it on the phone like Usta said, or even do it on your computer if u like... Its very simple
