Help SD card not recognized, now wants to format...

So last night my GS3 randomly started notifying me that the SD card was removed (it wasn't). I tried removing and reinserting, restarting, and various combinations of those. I inserted a different memory card and it was just fine. I hadn't dropped it or handled it roughly at all. It is pretty chilly in my house, but that's the only physical issue I can think of. Now this morning, its telling me to Format my card, or that I removed my card (its on removed ATM).

Whats also super annoying about this is that SwiftKey Beta predictions are SD card so now it won't recognize anything.

Please, please help!

Hi mibs. The successful insertion and function of a different card is telling. ;) You may have a corrupted sd card in need of replacement. That once happened to me, and for no known reason.. it just would not be "seen" by the system no matter what I tried, including formatting on my computer via adapter.

By the way, the more you handle it (trying different things with it), the more likely damage/corruption can occur.

It may be replacement time. :(

This is what I feared, but I just got the phone and card at the beginning of December, so if it's died already that makes me weary. Its SanDisk brand, which has been pretty reliable for me in the past. Is there anyway to get the files from it if it has gone bad?
