SD Card Questions!!

I am switching to a D2 next week and have some questions about the switch concerning my SD card. I currently have a Droid 1 that was rooted and then unrooted to send back due to warranty reasons. I am wondering what action i need to take to prepare my original SD card? I plan to root my D2, should i remove the update zip file that i put on it to root my original D1? Thanks.

I would either remove the update zip file or just reformat the card completely.

Thank you for your response. How would i go about reformating my SD card?

Go into settings > sd card & phone storage > click unmount SD card > then hit format SD card

When i do this i assume i lose all pictures and videos. can i just back those up on my computer and put those back on there after it is reformatted?

Yes, definitely back up anything important stored on your SD card to your computer - then put them back on after.
