A couple of days ago my phone had a notification that my sd card was removed. I didn't drop the phone or anything. I did a hard reset and it still doesn't work. Ofcourse I tried removing and putting it back in, but when I put it , it says preparing sd card and then it says it was removed right away. I can't put the micro sd card in the computer because I dont have the thing to plug it in. Please help! I have all my music on this card :(

hi there, i also have had this where the sd card unmounts for no reason, what i do is turn the phone off, pull the battery take out the card, put it back in.

turn the ohone off and go to menu>settings>sd& phone storage, and press mount the sd card and that should sort it,i sometimes after that have to hold down the power button and choose reset phone.

this works for me, hope it does for you...worth a try.

If the above suggestion doesn't work do you have another card you can test in the phone to see if it can read/recognize it?

The SD cards that ship with almost any Android phone are very low quality. On MetroPCS, (obviously low quality anyways) The SD would randomly dismount, I bought a new SD and it was fine. So, I am surprised it was a phone issue.
