I'm using the Droid razor maxx and it seems my phone doesnt even detect my micro SD Card. When the card is inserted i go to settings/storage/manage internal storage/ "Move filed from internal storage to removable SD card" it says SD card unmounted. please insert/mount SD card.

The card itself looks fine. The phone was bought used and already rooted from a friend i'm wondering if he messed up the card.

Have you formatted the card before using it?
Or can you use a card reader and see if your computer sees it?

So you have a different SD card you could pop in to verify that its not your SD card slot on the phone?

I havent formatted the card before use. I also dont have another sd card or card reader to use with a computer. I suppose the only option might be to just buy a new SD card?

If you have no other device to test your current SD card in then I would try purchasing a new SD card.
