Photos are easy: use any file explorer (if you don't have one, try ES File Explorer from the Play Store) and just copy of move the photos to the card. Apps are not. If you are running a recent Android version then the option of moving apps to SD no longer exists. There are tricks if you root the device (warranty most likely void if you do), but otherwise you can't. You can tell whether your device still has the option: go to Settings > Apps, select an app you have downloaded, and see whether there is a "move to sd" button when you view the app. If the button exists, press that to move the app (don't move apps with widgets which you use, as they will stop working). If the button isn't there at all, then you are running an Android version which does not include this.
