Anyone know how I can transfer pics from SD card to Galaxy S3 phone (without going through a PC)? I am going on holiday and want to use my old Lumix camera to take photos but then upload them to Dropbox via my phone. Many thanks.:)

get an sd card adatpter. it will adapt from a standard sd card that your camera uses to a micro sd card. i can pull my micro sd card out of my phone and insert it into the adapter and that fits right into my cannon t3i with no issues. then with a file manager on my phone i can move photos around how i see fit.

all of the micro sd cards that i buy these days come with a sd card adapter.

I'd buy a SD card reader with an USB plug (often free together with a SanDisk SD card) and an USB OTG cable for the S3.
With this cable the SDcard could be mounted as disk drive to the S3 :)
