Im guessing your having difficulty with your volume buttons?
Your phone must be rooted with super user privileges to manipulate that command,then require the installation of terminal emulator.,then a series of command imputs to finish the procedure.
Although if it's the wolume button that are the issue it would be a lot easier to go to google playstore and download the button savior non rooted.apk generally because it has onscreen volume buttons option.
If in case that is the problem.
