Good day everyone. I looked on the forum and figured I would ask this questoin. I have been looking for a hard shell case for my EVO. I installed a SGP Screen Protector Steinheil Ultra Crystal. I wnat to know if the Sedio Innocase II would be a good fit for my phone or if you guys know of another alternative that would work better to protect it.

Thank you.

My wife has had hers for months and just loves it. Some have reported issues of rubbing paint at the corners, but she's never had that problem. I had one and enjoyed it to until I switched to the Seidio Extended battery and case.

I have no problems recommending Seidio products. Buy them from Amazon though where they're cheaper.

I used to have the Sedio Innocase II. The finish does rub off on the edges and the case gets loose around the phone within a month.

I'm also looking for a hardshell case.

I bought the Innocase II as soon as it became available (with the holster). There were early reports of loosness and scratching. Not so with my case. I've had it for 8 months with no problems, using it all the time.

I had a similar case for a Windows phone before the EVO with the same good performance, a full 2-1/2 years. I would certainly buy another one for my next phone.

I'm one of those unlucky Evo owners who had their phone damaged by the Seidio case -- twice (one original and then the replacement they sent). Whether or not the looseness and scratching is widespread, I can't say. But I can say I'll never buy another one of their products. Just can't trust a company that sells a protective case that actually does more damage to a phone than leaving it bare. My phone was involved in a rollover car accident with me, and it sustained less damage than that case caused  (Thank goodness I wasn't enclosed in a Seidio case at the time, imagine the scuffs I'd have all over me!)

I apologize about this issue. This was not widespread and we have made modifications to the case in order to address this issue. If your case is still loose, please PM me.

I started with the Innocase II, but returned it for the Seidio Rugged. The new Rugged came with an Innocase II as the first layer, so to be nice, I put the brand new innocase II in the first box when I returned it...so they would have a new case to sell if they decided to.

I love the Rugged. My experience with the Innocase is that when holding the phone in landscape, I would accidentally press one of the capacitive buttons as the bezel on that case is pretty shallow. The Rugged case has quite the bezel, and it really gives you something to hold on to.

Saved my phone at least twice now. This is evidenced by the two broken corners of the plastic shell, which would have otherwise been the two shattered corners of my phone.

I went with the Innocase II Rugged combo (comes with two holsters), and love it.

True story -- the very first day I had the case (and the third day I had the phone), when getting out of my car and putting on my winter coat for some reason my phone went flying. I watched in slow-motion Hell while my brand new phone skidded/spun at least 10 feet across an asphalt parking lot. Not only was there zero damage to my phone, but there wasn't even any damage to the case or holster.

Seidio has a lifetime customer in me after that experience!

I am happy to hear that the case protected your phone during its fall!

I've had my case for about 2 months. It does the job but my concern is that it is the only case that seems to leave a grit attached to the sides of the phone and if it wasn't for my screenguard I'd have weird rub marks on my screen. I've dropped my phone from approx. 2 feet and the phone suffered no injury but the case has gouges in it. Even my old cheap case didn't get scratches on it from various drops or scrapes.

Switched to a rearth case. So nice. It feels better than the seidio and looks better too. Best part is that unlike the seidio case it isn't damaging my phone or building up hunk inside it :)

Is this case flexible like the rubber cases or is it a hardshell? I wonder how it would withstand to a drop?

It's similar to a rubber or silicone case but kind of a tpu feel. I love it. I don't know drop-wise how it would do. It feels like it could handle a drop. My honest opinion is that I feel that its a bit less durable in the drop category but its one piece so it doesn't have the "opening accidentally" problem. Also since there is no scratching being done by the case even if a drop does damage it there will be less damage done to it than the sandpaper interior of the seidio
