Seeing double (apps)

Recently I was making a phone call and when I looked at the open apps I saw that two phone apps open. Both look like phone apps with keypads Etc and both have access to my call history. But they are two different apps one showing the call in progress and the other one not. Has anyone else experienced this?

Unless someone had physical access to your phone you are fine.
Most Android devices have more than one phone app
