So does anyone know if the newest version of Sense available on the Incredible will be able to display in Landscape?

As I've stated many times and yet nobody wants to believe, here is Android 2.1 on the EVO 4G.

Seems like such a minor thing that they have yet to include on something otherwise known to be great. Why would they let this slip??

Maybe they don't want it to rotate. They would have to come up with another graphic for the buttons at the bottom. I don't think it would work well in a similar shape but stretched. Also I don't spend alot of time on my desktop....its a place for quick info and to get from one app to another. So I really wonder how many people would care if it rotated.

The point is having it rotate whilst being docked.

Ahhh...I thought it was supposed to show another interface while docked. Maybe I thinking about another phone.

You can have the home/car app come up when it's docked (at least that's how the droid/n1 work). Those are landscape capable.

    And those don't run Sense.

I think it would suck having it rotate. It would always be accidently rotating. Draining battery...making me wait to keep it back to portrait...really don't see the up side.

I think it only would do it when connected to a dock. It would be really annoying if it switched every time you rotated the phone.

I personally am happy that the Sense UI doesn't rotate because with the way that the widgets and stuff are designed and placed, you would have to have another layout for landscape mode. I think that while on a dock, it would go to a default landscape screen like the Droid.

Sense has both of those apps in videos I've seen, though I think the car mode app looks different than the stock version.

Doesn't the HTC Desire run Sense UI w/Android 2.1?

I've read even the eris had it but it was a feature that was turned off by default. Even if that's not true, it always is able to be turned off so just because it's like that doesn't mean it isn't capable.

It shouldn't be slow on anything with a snapdragon anyways, and many things work better sideways such as internet, email, and texting (especially when you are using the keyboard).

Yep. To my knowledge, the only device currently running both.

On a similar note, I'm curious if you can run stock live wallpapers under SenseUI widgets. Another question Desire-owners may be able to answer.
