hi ive a standard htc desire not rooted or messed with at all. at christmas i had a notice of ota software update and tried to run it . it downloaded but when i tried to run it it got part way then showed the phone pic and red triangle but wouldnt do anything else

i gave up on it as a bad job after two attempts, but since my phone has been powering down after a couple of hours its nothing to do with things running but ive run a *#*#4636#*#* and when the android system is shutting down due to no power (it jumps from 70-60% to 0% in a flash) my battery is still showing +3500mv which is where is should be at ie 70-60%

so it appears after the attempted upgrade something is telling my os that it has a dead battery far too early

    any ideas
    thanks

Yup. Something has gone horribly wrong. As it's occurring after your update I would naturally put it down to something affecting/corrupting your battery during the installation. My gut feeling? A factory wipe may do the trick
