Root set cpu stuck at 528

Sorry, newby here. Rooted my Eris yesterday and bought set CPU. Disabled perflock yet the high end of set CPU is still only 528. My kernel is 2.6.29-8a03cb9ahtc-kernal@and18-2 #1...what do I need to change?

and yes, have already read the post below, didn't seem to make helpful sense since I have the newest edition.

"If 528 is your max, then you just need a new version or Setcpu.

Have you flashed Zanfer's Kernel? If not, you need to do that before you can overclock.

To OC, you just need any ROM which is OC-capable; it does not need to be EE. Almost all of them have Zanfur's OC kernel now.

If you only "rooted a stock HTC build" without replacing the kernel (technically, the "boot partition"), you probably can not overclock. I think there is an "update.zip"-style package floating around for Zanfur's kernel/boot image for the Eris for those that want to keep a "nearly stock" HTC build (that is, keep all their settings and not flash a completely new ROM), but I don't have a link for it - maybe someone else can provide that.
