Who uses this? I installed it and did not create any profiles. I have the main set to just over 1ghz and min at 245mhz. Not sure if i'm set correctly or recommended.

You might be better off asking in the Evo sub forum for root topics. I don't know what would be helpful or not for your model.

(moved to Evo, All Things Root).

I believe RyanB was right in that you'll probably get more specific answers here.
That said, the general consensus in the forums seems to be that you should set an overheat profile (battery > a temperature you choose) with a slower clock speed to allow the phone to cool. And a sleep profile with much slower clock speed settings, to conserve battery when you're not actively using the device.

Right. Where things get "dicey" is with all the different chips. Each chip has different capabilities and thresholds, so I could easily tell you what the Droid can typically handle, buti don't have the first clue about Evos. I'd wager lots of people are unfamiliar with phones they don't own.

You might want to set a screen off profile limited to a min and max speed of 245Mhz for battery savings.

You should have the ondemand governor, I think it is included in all kernels. Generally the governors included in setCPU rely on the kernel.
