Does the unrevoked method of rooting allow you to use Setcpu on the EVO?

No. No method of rooting does. Need to have a modified kernel, as it stands.

Neither setcpu or overclock widget work right now. There is a Rom that has toast's kernel that can run the programs, but you would need to unlock nand and access recovery via toast's method of rooting. You can download and run the overclock widget, but it does nothing without a custom kernel. You can see the speed of your processor, but as far as changing the values, then it's useless. Test it out yourself, download the program and set the clock speed to the lowest. It will still clock the speed at 998 with no changes in performance. Whereas on my hero, if I set it at the lowest clock speed, the thing crawls so slow, even my Windows 95 pc from a decade ago runs faster.
