So I have 3 email applications on my GarminAsus A50:

    > Default email client
    > Gmail
    > K9 email client

All three have been setup with email accounts.

Is there a way to set K9 as my preferred email app? Because everytime I receive an email, I get three sets of notifications (one from each app)

For the moment I've disabled the email notifications from Gmail and the default mail, but they still run in the background checking for messages which is really just a waste of CPU power and battery life.

Anything to keep them from running at all?

Just delete your accounts from the apps you're not using. As long as the accounts remain setup, the phone will continue to check them.

Hmm, but the thing is, I can't actually delete accounts off from my accounts management list.

Long pressing the account name doesn't seem to pop out a context menu. Is there a way to completely wipe the application data ?

It's been a while since I disabled the stock email app on my DInc, but IIRC I just went into the app's settings (not the phone's settings) and edited out my email address and other info.

You need to disable the notifications and that will solve the problem for you.
