Help setting up internet connection on lg gt540

You'll need to set up your apn settings.

Settings>Wireless & Network Settings>Mobile Networks>Access Point Names
Then you'll need to press your soft menu key to create new.

You can find your apn settings from your carriers website or a quick google search.
In a lot of cases you can send a text message to a particular number and they will send the settings back to you.

well, you can talk to the technical support of your carier and ask them to give you the GPRS setings manually. Also, at most times, there's an option to send a text message to a number in a prescribed format where you have to send the model number of your ohone and the settings are automatically sent to you.

Alternatively, what you can do is go to the website of your carrier and get the settings from there. The settings that you get there, can be configured on to the phone by going to settings>>wireless and networks>>Mobile network settings>> access pint settings. Press the menu button and you get an option of adding a new APN there. APN stands of access point name.
